Got Milk? Or Got Pain?
Any idea how much a quarter page ad in The Wall Street Journal costs? Me neither, but I bet it’s a bunch.
The “Got Milk?” campaign has been hugely successful for over ten years in promoting the consumption of cow’s milk. Now in the April 28th edition of the WSJ there is a huge ad from the Foundation for Chiropractic Progress.(www.Yes2Chiropractic.com)
The headline blares: Got Pain? Try Chiropractic First.
Seems like they would like to increase the consumption of chiropractic services paid for by you, the work comp and group health stakeholders. Unfortunately, treating pain is a complex problem not efficiently addressed by advertising slogans or a one-size-fits-all treatment plan.
Got pain? It requires a scientific approach, an accountable patient, and more often than not, permanent changes in lifestyle and attitudes.
