Exorcise Your Network

The scariest movie I ever saw was The Exorcist. When Linda Blair’s head swiveled and pea soup was a-flyin’, I jumped out of my skin.

Reading from an excerpt of a press release from KCCI 8 News in Idaho, I may have just discovered something even scarier than this 1973 flick. Evidently, a local chiropractor (who just lost his license) had a couple of unique skill sets.

First, he is alleged to have bartered professional services for sex. Bad enough, but I think we have seen this elsewhere.

But secondly (wait for it), he was performing exorcisms as part of his treatment.  Of course his office staff and neighbors never suspected anything out of the ordinary.

Our credentialing department has strict guidelines as to verifying licenses, investigating malpractice claims and auditing resumes. I’ll be on the lookout for Father Damien’s application.

Managing provider networks is a constant effort. We rely on our trusted employers, attorneys and adjuster partners, in addition to independent third-party verifications.

If you’re not getting the quality from your provider/pharmacy networks, you may want to “exorcise” your current vendors.

Call us. We can do better.
