“I may be synthetic, but I’m not stupid.” ~android Bishop (Lance Henriksen) speaking to the crew in the 1986 film Aliens.

Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) was aghast that a “synthetic” was on board after a previous android malfunctioned and nearly destroyed her last mission.

In contrast, there is a stupid and dangerous synthetic opioid we are seeing more and more, and this killer goes by the name of Fentanyl.

Writing in LiveScience, Rachael Rettner reports how deaths from Fentanyl overdoses have been skyrocketing. The death of Prince, at the hands of this drug, has recently caused a new round of scrutiny and concern.

Here is a fast education about this synthetic and why it should be carefully avoided except in extreme diagnoses:

  • It’s like morphine, only 100 times more potent;
  • Heroin not doing the trick? Try Fentanyl.

We have been successfully fighting these treatment protocols for years. If you’re just seeing it, you may need a crash course.

Synthetic android Bishop actually did better in Aliens (the sequel).

Call us. We can do better.
