Just kidding. Business First is reporting about a new telemedicine initiative that will revolutionize the way medical care is delivered.

Starting November 1, KentuckyOne Health is launching their “KentuckyOne Anywhere Care.” Partnering with a Pacific Northwest virtual medical provider, diagnoses and pharmaceuticals are but a mere phone call away. It’s fast (30 minutes or less), cheap ($35 with or without insurance), and open to the general public 24/7. Just call a toll-free number, describe your symptoms, and faster than you can say Meredith Grey, you get an answer or a referral.

KentuckyOne projects 50% of the users of this service do not have a primary care physician, and 70% would have ended up in the ER or ICC without this service. Initially the program will be available to KentuckyOne employees only. Better to beta test and debug in-house, I presume.

Good or bad? I don’t know. Inevitable? For sure.

Buckle your seatbelt…the winds of change are blowing.

Call us. We can do better.
