If your claimants are getting their drugs filled at a place called “Prescriptions R Us,” maybe you should reevaluate your network. A press release from The US Attorneys Office, District of New Jersey, explains how the compounding pharmacist at this facility recently pleaded guilty to:

  • Bribing physicians to write scripts for his pharmacy;

  • Calling his “pain creams” something else in order to obtain insurance reimbursements.

That’s it…a simple two-step process to commit healthcare fraud. A little Ketamine, a dash of Lidocaine, a touch of Diclofenac, and some bank deposit tickets are all you need.

A doctor may order it, and a pharmacist may fill it. But you don’t always have to pay for it.

Call us. We’ll watch the compounders for you.
