A new study published by the American Diabetes Association puts our annual cost from diabetes at $245 billion, up from $147 billion just five years ago. Interestingly, the per patient diabetes cost has remained flat. The number of diagnoses has skyrocketed from 17.5 million to 22.3 million people.
