Someone please tell me this is a bad joke.  

According to the Wall Street Journal, the manufacturer of OxyContin hopes to lengthen its patent protection by testing this powerful painkiller on children through a clinical trial. Apparently, this is a top priority of the FDA because some doctors prescribe OxyContin to minors through “off-label” use.

Dr. Andrea Kolodny, President of the Physicians for Responsible Opioid Prescribing (PROP) raises the issue of risk as well as ethics for clinics that take money and then put children at risk of addictions.

If you think the pharmaceutical manufacturers won’t get this done, well, think again.
